M. C. Escher uses repetition to make something stand out over a pattern. for example he made the bees stand over what looks like a bunch of flowers, and also how he made some things look like they were    over others by repeating a certain pattern.




Henry Van de Velde

            


Henry Van de Velde uses repetition on a book cover to show rhythm in his lines and shape, and also uses a

a certain rhythm in the second painting to make it look more alive.










Geoff McFetridge






Geoff McFetridge uses repetition of a pattern to make a certain shape or line stand out, for example the little white marks on the brick pattern looks like people and on the second drawing he repeats people but also changes up some things in their heads to make it stand out.
